And to Christmas day! It started properly with bacon & sausage sandwiches with Bucks Fizz. Of course!
Louis had helped finish off the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve - we kept forgetting to put the fairy on the top!
Louis will show off his belly if asked, and seemed fascinated by my belly button - sorry to subject you all to this when you're expecting a Christmas post!
Where were we? Of, Christmas morning! Louis is getting better at playing by himself, and does enjoy making a mess. Blocks, building bricks, shoes - anything that starts off in a neat pile will soon get spread about the district. Thanks, Louis! (He certainly is a Qatari baby at the moment - he loves sparkly lights, diggers & cars.)
Alan & Marg bought him a Cozy Coupe for Christmas - more stuff for me to assemble! Louis loves playing with them at nursery, and has loved having one for himself! Here he is, unwrapping. No excitement yet...
And during assembly - thanks for the help, Louis.
Nearly finished - just a couple of screws to hold the roof rails to go!
Where was Elizabeth in all this? Sleeping like a baby, appropriately enough! She was wonderful all day, giving us time to play with Louis, and to go out for chickens (our turkey substitute for the day) and to eat & drink. Both the Junior Gammons were wonderful.
Although Louis was less than thrilled to be dressed up as Santa!
BRB, deliveries to make.
This next photo was earlier. Every time I go for a coffee at LuLus Express, Louis grabs the mini-pushchair and has a push - he copies us more than we know, I'm sure! So we bought him one, and here it is, with a special passenger!
And finally for this post, a special present. Marc B got Emily, the daughter of his squeeze, Helen, to paint this. It's from a picture that Jack took this summer, when we three, plus Alan & Marg, were out for fish and chips in Warwick. So that's a lot of people represented in the gift! We're really pleased with it - we just have to decide where to put it now!
More soon!
