Lots of pics here, lots to get through, so let's get started!
It's still a novelty to have two children in the house! We keep forgetting that Elizabeth's around, or in the car, and we startle when she makes a noise! Fortunately, Louis is always about to remind us - if Elizabeth cries, he gets up, and says 'bebe!', grabs a hand and takes us to her to check her out, make sure everything's OK. He's a good big brother already! (He'll stroke her head, and kiss her, too. Enough to make an old cynic like me crack!)
Elizabeth continues her good progress - she's growing, and is pretty much up to her birth weight again, which is good. We're trying to get into the habit of weighing her each Thursday - it's something we did for the first months of Louis' life, too.
Saw a good car crash last week! On the way to work, at about 6am, I had to double back and take a couple of pictures. It's a rare and pretty Ford GT, or at least, it was! It had spun on the other side of the road, and come over the centre, ripping out the sump, and making a mess. Poor car, it was in a showroom as week before the crash. (PS - really happy with the quality of the pics on my new iPhone 4s! Really good.)
Had a nice night out at the Souqs with three grandparents. My mum had a nice run around all the fabric shops, and we all hit the ByeBye cafeteria for shwama and chips with fruit juices. The life, eh? Elizabeth was a good girl, and seemed to be entirely non-plussed by the whole thing!
Note the natty knitted hat from my mum! A genuine Joy Gammon design!
Took another paternity day on Thursday last - we all (well, not Louis, sorry son!) went the The W Hotel for lunch, and had a really good time. Good food (as usual), good company (as usual). After the meal I took my mum to pick up Louis from nursery. He had to pause on the way out to play with the Cozy Coupe - I think I know what he's getting for Christmas! (He enjoys it far more than this picture suggests!)
Saturday afternoon, M & I took Louis out to the playground on Lot 2. Lots of sitting in toy cars, lots of hanging from things, sliding down things. I know it's a drive away (or a good walk!) but it's the best playground in town, and it's local, and free!
Elizabeth is a little nocturnal at the moment, which is a bit tiring. Actually it's more tiring arguing with M over who gets to do the night feed. Oh, and we both want to, to help the other, rather than neither of us wanting to! (I woke up this morning at 5.15am for work, and was on my own. M had fallen asleep in the chair on the landing with Elizabeth in her arms. I should pad the floor a little incase she falls off!)
But she's easy to love.
Lots of expressions on her face, just like Louis used to have, although I'm sure she's not in control of them!
Posted this next one on Facebook, saying that it's a yawn, not a cry, and a friend say 'It's a roar!' Yes, it is, she's a proper little lion.
More photos next post, including more of the grandparents!
