Clippity clop

Home again, home again.  It's Wednesday, and Elizabeth's been home now for two nights!  First one was a little rough, last night a bit better - both involved several hours of up and feeding, but M's been a brick, and taken all the hard work.  (In fact, we've all started to tell her off for working too hard!  We'll see if she takes any notice!)  But Monday after work, I raced home, picked up A&M, and raced to Hamad where M was grinding her teeth in eagerness to get out!  (I'm really looking forward to getting rid of the moustache!)

Elizabeth was all wrapped up, ready to go.  Beth was all wrapped up.  Libby was...  Liz?  Betty?  (Thanks to Don for that one!)

All safe & sound in the car seat.  (It still amazes me how some people carry their newborns from the hospital, and just sit in the car seat themselves, holding their new arrival.  It gives me the willies.)

And home safely to Louis.  We brought Louis a big yellow Tonka truck as a gift from Beth, and he likes dragging it around the apartment.  (It has to be around the apartment, as the weather's been awful for the past few days!)  Hello, big brother.

And into the Moses basket for a snooze!  So far she's been pretty nocturnal, which is a bit of a pain, but she's eating and sleeping well which is the main thing.  I'm having to readjust to a little, light baby after Louis' heft!

And speaking of Louis, doesn't he look old here?  New passport photos, and I swear he looks older than two!  Note the tres-fashionable asymmetric fringe.

He's a cheeky little man, too - his favourite game at the moment is to play with the taps on the bidet.  It's a harmless game at the moment - ask me again after he floods the house!

Last night some of the guys came over for a White russians and cigars.  It was windy as hell, so we moved into the garage area at the front of the house, which was sheltered and very civilized.  Just as well it was sheltered - it pissed it down all night, with some really heavy intervals!  No booze for me, as I was at the airport at 3am to pick up my mum!  We've certainly go a house full now!

The weather was much better this morning, but still cold - I had the heating on in my car!
